    Default Live STT, table tell

Home game single table tourney. 5 handed, top 3 pay. I'm down to 11BB, villain has 25BB.

Villain is in the big blind, but is confused about the action, looks at his hand, and prematurely starts to push his cards toward the center. Dealer reminds him that he is the big blind, not UTG, and he takes his cards back.

Action folds around to me in the small blind. I don't even look at my cards, I just announce, "all in".

BB asks me if I'm serious, and I say yes. He calls with A7o.

Did I play it ok? Did he?

In hindsight, perhaps I should have looked at my hand, thought for a moment, and then shoved?

Depending on how the stack sizes are distributed, folding A7o from HJ can be standard. It is also a standard calling hand for the situation, fares quite well against a random hand. So your opponent played well.
As for you, depending on how the stack sizes were distributed, it may have been ok to shove any two. But you definitely should have looked at your cards first, just to make your range appear stronger for the opponent. (If you're afraid to give off a tell, then just pretend that you look. It's not hard to fake.)
