cashout tourney wtf

I'm pretty much just a cash player online, but while playing the iron man freeroll, I joined a couple of other tourneys. One was a cashout tourney. Just inside the money w/ 54 players remaining. I'm the chip leader and if I cashout my chips I get $252.27.

so I get better than 5th with 54 players remaining!?

When I first saw this type of tourney, I assumed the only way to exploit it was to NOT cashout, but this seems like a decent deal. Has anyone done the math as to what the threshold would have to be for a cashout (even a partial one) to be profitable?

I'm sorry I didn't realize the cashout pool gets paid to the final 6 :P
