    Default What Avg. Percent?

About what is your average percent of hands you play in 9 man Sit n GO?

The answer to this question won't give you any useful information, because it varies so much throughout a SNG depending on the blinds, position, stack size and players left. For example, I play 7.6% of hands with 10 players at the table (probably a bit loose) and 48% Heads Up.

yea i see what your sayin i was kinda curious of the full game part it seems like im at 17% at a 9 man full table. I suppose thats way to loose then uh?

Yes. I'd say that 17% as an average is too loose with 9 players and low blinds.

If I had to try to draft a rule of thumb it is probably 1.5 hands per orbit until you get down to 3 players

I think my VP$IP (the % of times that I voluntarily put money into the pot preflop ie. other than checked my BB) for the early levels (1-2) is in the 10-12% range.

pretty much agree with everything said.

uh except that.. 7.6 is ubernit duffryn. I mean you need to consider playability but obviously you have "best" hand 10% of time. And you may have postflop edge / implied odds / whatever.

17% is fairly loose for full table.. I've seen some pull it off esp at lower stakes but it's not the best.

Personally I'm like 12/9 over decent sample at early blind levels. I'm quite the nit and don't take gambles early. Multi tabling leads me to fold in marginal spots that I'd probably play otherwise.

Also @ op I don't know where you are looking at your stats but don't try to play a certain vpip/pfr because we said so.
    1. The variations in cards you are dealt are great. I've ran 20/5 over 50 hands and I've ran like 2/2 over 50 hands.
    2. You should choose to play a hand based on your position/"their" range/your range etc etc.
    3. different styles of play work for different people. (just not over 20/under 10 because that doesn't work so good long term)

But yea the #'s out there all look pretty reasonable. And yes at micros I realize everyones vpip seems to be over 20 (or 30.. or 40). Just sit tight and fold 85%+ of your hands until blinds get high and table gets short and then really change gears and find opportunities to loosen up.

I know this is stating the obvious but look at it this way. With 17% you're playing almost one hand out of 5.

Do you even get a playable hand 1 in 5? (you obviously don't get premiums) - pretty much no.

Sounds like you are probably playing stuff like KJ, KQ, A10 etc a bit too much. I let all these hands go in most positions early at a full table. They are just not profitable unless you are good enough post flop to pass say A10 on an A high board with a lot of action. Even on a dry board (uncoordinated).

I don't know how you're doing overall but just keeping it simple and tight until a few are out is an easy guideline. At low stakes u can go to the toilet and some1 will be out when you get back
