kts hu 1:2 stacks

pretty much what the title says.

i was in a HU situation in a 9max $2+.25 on ft, i had about 4.5k to tall stack's 9k, blinds at about 120/240, i get dealt kts on the button

so the question is, would this be a shove preflop or not?

opponent is fairly tight, has called a couple all ins pre, but hasnt really made any. folds plenty though. thoughts?

raise 2.5x.

Shoving is better than folding but almost certainly less profitable than playing a pot IP with a nice playable hand. The only hands I might consider shoving here are small pairs and weak Ax hands.

Fwiw shoving is only slightly better than folding. The effective stack is just too big.
