Default 25NL - Double Barrel check

Alright so double barreling is something I probably don't do often enough. This is sort of just a line check, 'cause it seems pretty reasonable to me but as I say I don't double barrel a lot so wanted to check I'm not being retarded or anything.

    Villain is 16/15

    $0.10/$0.25 No Limit Holdem
    6 Players
    Hand Conversion Powered by weaktight.com

    Stacks:
    Hero ($27.84)
    UTG+1 ($25)
    CO ($86.66)
    BTN ($30.96)
    SB ($32.77)
    BB ($28.95)

    Pre-Flop: ($0.35, 6 players) Hero is UTG
Hero raises to $1, 2 folds, BTN calls $1, 2 folds

    Flop: ($2.35, 2 players)
Hero bets $1.50, BTN calls $1.50

    Turn: ($5.35, 2 players)
    Hero bets $3.75 ...

Basically I'm thinking he flats preflop with strong broadways, pocket pairs and maybe some suited connected shit. On the flop I hope to fold out anything that missed outright, but that still beats me. On the turn I pick up a gutterball and a flushdraw so I bet again hoping to fold out any midpockets that may have called the flop cbet.

    I don't hate it.

I don't think we have a ton of fold equity but we have a lot of pot equity with our hand so it doesn't really matter. The only thing I see him folding is like 88-TT or maybe 33-66 (but I think these tend to fold the flop)

And when we hit on river the pot is going to be that much larger for our value bet.

He's folding most spades here as well. Along with 67, 87, T9, PP below JJ. Etc. This is a great turn to barrel and sizing looks just fine. You could make it like 3.85 just for the psych factor of it being a typed bet, but that's not a big deal.

I find myself in similar situations to this quite often, and I got tottally confused on the river if I don't hit. If he flats and the river's a dud, say 6d for example, what's your plan?

Usually I don't put 67 and 78 in a 16/15's flatting range PF, although I guess it depends somewhat on our image. Am I making a mistake here?

You think he folds spades here? I was thinking he probably wouldn't because he's IP and we look like we have a strong hand that he'll win a river bet from.

wat? Granted I run like 25/21 at 6m but most people see the "pros" at the WSOP events playing the suited connectors and snap call preflop bets with them. And yes, I think he fold spades here. If he has naked spades he needs 9 / 46 = 0.195652174 to call aka 5.11:1. We offer 3.75 / 9.1 = 0.412087912 aka 2.43:1 which makes calling here with a FD a mistake. Granted, I am hammered writing this, but according to pot odds calling with spades here would be wrong and thus I don't think a 16/15 (aka a TAGG 6m rreg) calls.

Unless I did the maffs wrong. I might have cause I haven't done any poker math in a while o_O

We give up..? just because we fire a 2nd barrel doesn't mean we have to bruff off our stack when the river bricks ;(

yeah its tough when you brick the river after barreling twice. gotta have the discipline and not risk your stack.
