4th hand. villain had shoved over a raise of 60 1st hand, then in 2nd flatted a raise and shoved his stack (~1600) on a ~180 flop. he folded 3rd hand.

should i have fired again on the turn or river? think i was too passive as i was anticipating another shove.

also, regarding flop play, how does one get the balance of keeping in hands that you beat yet at the same time extracting max value?

    - thanks

Betting on turn is fine but checking is OK too, I think, to induce a random bluff. He cannot have too many Kx at all unless he has precisely KQ that he's slowplaying -- it sounds as if he would have totally shipped AK preflop.

I'd bet slightly larger on the flop. On the river, all draws missed so it's an easy c-c.
Playing big pots at small stakes.

Seems fine to me, maybe you can make it 150 on the flop but whatever.

I agree with checking the turn and I would call a reasonable bet if opp had not checked behind. Check/call river also seems like the right move.

i'm usually leading again on the turn here, no reason to give a free card. you can fold to a raise.

Given that villain doesn't know anything about poker i'd bet the turn for value. His range is still pretty wide even after the call on the flop. I think he is more likely to raise the flop if he has a king based on the way he's played in the first couple of hands. He seems like the type of player who gets over excited and will let you know when he has a hand.

As played on the turn i would bet the river after none of the draws hit. Seems far too likely that you have the best hand at this stage. I would try to extract more value from PP's and some random Qx hands.

Actually, on reflection I would bet the river for value given that all the draws missed and opp checked behind on the river. There's a small risk that we're going to get C-Rd by Kx but if we v-bet 300 we won't be pot committed if he does shove over.

I think you played it fine, I think checking the river is OK, there arent many hands that you have beat that will call you and checking allows villian to bluff, and if he has the Kx it allows you to escape with minimum damage

for reasons mentioned why not a blockeresque type bet of ~200?
