I don't like C-betting the flop out of position against more than 1 opponent.

When called on the flop, it's time to give up, unimproved.

I would've raised less preflop, checked the flop and certainly would've given up at this point had I been betting.

Out of position and always get multiple callers at this stage of a Party sng? nickthefool made a mention in another thread about limping with AK in early rounds and I went through a period of doing this too on Party. Seemed to work ok.

The higher buyin sngs on Stars are different though and I've gone back to (mostly) raising. There you often get only 0-2 callers and a c-bet has a higher chance of taking the pot down on the flop.

AK, AK Oh why don't you hit
    I continued two streets
    and the river brought shit

I'll push if you raise me
    out on the flop
    even though I missed
    Oh why can't I stop

    Often I'll bust
    Holding slick in a ditch
    You'll beat me with ducks
and I'll scream "I had AK Bitch!"
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

    Lol, like it Rondavu.

Mosedog - if i played it the way you played it up to the turn, i'd either push turn or give up. But then, as i've said before, i'll often limp AK to avoid having to make decisions like this - it's so much easier to fold when you don't have many chips invested.
The poker gods love me really, they are just testing my faith !

I like the preflop raise, although I'd keep it at 3x (45) to weed out the really crap hands - let the weak aces and small pairs stay in if they want. Then if you don't hit the flop, and the betting gets aggressive, it's real easy to just drop it.

Even if you play as you did through the flop, don't re-fire on the turn - opp's not going away for less than your whole stack, and maybe not even then. I think he hit his set or flush already. Or at least has you beat. You don't even have a diamond....

No way I c-bet a 3-suited rag flop into 2 PP calling stations without either A or K of diamonds.

Check and c-betting turn if checked around isn't the worst move either. Slightly less dangerous.

Turn c-bet... heck, I guess you might as well have pushed here, huh?

at the time my reasoning was he was probably holding a single diamond along with a pp and was chasing even on the turn, so my river all in whent his diamond doesnt come would make him fold for sure, but nooo, lol. I like the idea of raising smaller here to like 45, and then c bet the flop and then ill be committing much fewer chips.

Yeah, when saw the 800 chip stacks I thought that this must be an OLD OLD post...ah, for those days of 20% ROIs at $100+ buyins...

VQC was the man but limping AK was bad advice.
Playing big pots at small stakes.
