I flatted the UTG raise, because I did not want a confrontation with the big stack. I would probably have ended up folding a missed flop, so maybe flatting wasn't such a good idea?

nah I don't mind flatting with like 50 BBs+ or if you had a reason to expect a squeeze but the stack sizes set up nice for flop shove here.
