Default ensign_lee's quest to be better than a coinflip! Week 8 YTD: 43-52-1 , +33.5 units

    YTD: 43-52-1
    Units Won: +33.5 units

    Carolina Panthers M/L (+119)
    5 units at Matchbook

    Carolina Panthers +3 (-113)
    1 unit at BetMania

I got run over on this bet. ooof. Concensus line right now is waaay better (around +130), and my exposure is larger than I would like it to be because I thought the line was at -1.5 when I made it. Oh well, too lat enow.

    Kansas City Chiefs -7 (+101)
    4 units at Matchbook

I think that the mental and physical exhaustion from last week's game with the Ravens carried over into the practice week, and will carry over into this week.

    Dallas Cowboys -5.5 (-115)
    2 units at Skybook

I think the dropoff won't be as significant as people think for the Cowboys with Romo out. Plus, with the full point of value being sold for 10 cents, I figured it was a +EV situation.

    Green Bay Packers M/L (+232)
    1 unit at Matchbook

I'll continue taking good QBs vs a defense that likes to blitz. +232 is good value here I think (which means this is prob doomed ) . Oof, and looks like I got run over on this bet as well too. sad.

    New England -5.5 (+103)
    1 unit at Matchbook

If the Vikings are really starting Favre, I think that will hurt them more than help them. Plus, this is one of Ace's places. I'll follow it.

    San Diego -4.5 (-106)
    1 unit at Matchbook

Pinnacle looks like it's trying to shoo away any and all San Diego money. Plus, public perception of San Diego is at an all time low. BUT THIS TEAM STILL HAS THE #1 OFFENSE AND #1 DEFENSE! Turnovers hopefully will eventually even out and god, the special teams hopefully can't get *worse*.

    Houston/Indy OVER 50.5
    1 unit at Matchbook

With Demeco Ryans out, anybody who can anything on offense should be able to score against us. ANYBODY WHO CAN ANYTHING. If my boys (the Texans) can kee up, I can see a shootout going over 50.5.

Might have a play on Houston based a ton off of Dallas Clark being out. That is going to impact things a ton, I think.

UUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGH. *HORRIBLY* emotionally middled for today's game.

    Texans lost. (lost money tehre
Colts 2nd Half lost (lost money there)
oh, AND THE TEXANS LOST. (*@^&^@%&^@%@^

I lost every which way I bet on this game, which, considering that I had both the Colts and the Texans, is both uber hard to do and is uber-sucky.

    Blech. Puke.

Keeping with my normal fashion of betting any team that is up at least 14 at halftime,

    Colts pk 2nd Half (-120)

What do the number in the () mean, ie in your first post (+119) and (-113)

I if wanted to read a thread about failing miserably, I'd read one of Slevin's many Ops. This thread is extraneous.

    Put everything on the Lions.

Those are the odds. that I get.

    +119 means that for every 100 I bet, I'd receive 119 if I won.

-113 means that if I want to win 100, I'd have to bet 113.

Who are you and why are you so ornery?

    HOOOOLLLY SHIT. 4 to 3?!?!?!

hmm....Is A&M going to beat Choklahoma?

Spenda, you're closer to that team than I am obviously. Does A&M have the talent to do that?
  15. #15
They have the talent and scheme, question is can they overcome Sherman being a horrible gameday coach against one of the best in Stoops?

OU is pretty mediocre away from Norman but A&M has a QB starting his 2nd career game, ofc in his first he threw for 450 yards in 3.5 quarters against Tech.

I'll prob play on A&M then. From -4 to -3 is a pretty significant line move and there are like 3 to 4 bets on Oklahoma for every one on A&M.

{edit} Owait. Now it's back at 3.5. hmmm...

    Yes, A&M 2nd Half +6 woot woot.

Too bad y'all went braindead in the last five minutes!!! stupid aggies. Had to come down to 2 goal line stands to win that bet. Why were y'all acting like you won the game when there were 7 minutes left and you only up 16?!?!?!?!

    I present to you evidence:

erm, casually jogging off the field with 12 men on the field anyone? Did you see the body language of hte players and coaches?

And how do you just casually punt the ball from your own 3? OFC you're going to get it blocked.
  22. #22
We should have just snapped the egg out of the back of the endzone there except the 2 points mattered big time, still think it was the best thing that could have happened to not give OU a ridiculously short field. Instead they had to go 70+ on our D and had only done it once all night.
