I like betting with the flush draw out there but I'm paranoid that way. Plus sometimes one of them will think you're just stealing in position and will call you with any pair. If only one opp I might think about checking behind.

If you look at the hand ignoring stack sizes, I think your sizing is probably the best. But with 40bb stacks you set up a weird spot on the turn where the pot will be ~2800 with ~3350 behind. This is bad because your options on the turn are to overbet shove which isn't always that bad; but with top set on a board with few draws its not that good. The other option would be betting around 1/4 pot. This isn't great because you give them an easy decision with draws; pot odds are good enough and we won't be able to fold rivers where the make a flush since we would get a very good price.

I think the best way to get stacks in would be betting ~40-45% pot on flop and turn

I think I should take effective stacks into consideration and take a bit more time to think about bet sizes.
