Default AQ vs minraise in 3b pot oop

Villain is 20/17 over like 50 with a 70% fold to cbet 70%fold to 3b
his range pre is PP's and Ax's maybe some sc stuff. When he calls the 3b its more like 99+ 9Ts+, AQ+ we can prob discount AA and KK but im not sure as I havent seen him play KK before

Flop is OK, but kinda meh as it hits alot of his range

Turn is a fairly good card, gives us backdor spades, no draws got there (besides like 78s but I dont have that is his 3b calling range) etc. So i decide to barrel..

**What are ppls thoughts on checking this turn for some pot control? and b/f'ing most rivers (besides spades obvi) oop sucks

This river kinda sucks, I mean i dont think I get called by worse if I shove. I think c/f kinda sucks but idk could be ok..I dont think I can rly bet fold with the SPR we have going bleh idk. halp.

Hmmm I think barreling is fine given the outs you picked up. Check calling could be okay in some circumstances. It really all depends on how this particular opponent plays 3bet pots. Is he the type to get locked into JJ, QQ or KK and just not believe your second barrel? If so then doubling is obviously the best but if he is a straight forward player I don't really see worse calling very often. The river is a meh card, it hits shit like QJ that he might have been drawing with but it also lowers the combos of AK (if he is the type to flat this preflop). I think this become pretty read specific between betting for value or c/f.

c/jamming the turn might be interesting if he looks you up light

I dont really have reads on the guy in 3b pots.

I assume hes prob straight forward, until I see different, so when I barrel the turn and he calls I cant think of many hands were ahead of that call other than draws and AJ if he has that post here..so turn is kinda an interesting spot.

A turn c/shove could be cool.. it also gives the advantage of some pot control if he checks back and we can usually be pretty confident to barrel all rivers for value.

What do you think your image is? What is villain's CO open %? Is this his standard raise size? What is the button's image? Have you or the button been 3betting CO?

I like the turn bet and the sizing. Checking the turn tells you less than betting I think. By the river both straight draws got there, however likely or unlikely they are, and we don't beat any ace from A9 upwards apart from AJ, which may give up to a 3rd barrel. Unless we know villain is tricky I think river is a sigh c/f. Villain will check back more than he will bluff if he got to the river with QQ etc somehow.

checking the turn does tell you less. betting it told you you were beat. surley. everything you had showdown value against folded to that bet. so you check then he bets and you stupidly hover over the call button wishing you could see a way of it being a bluff, timer ticks down. its over; money saved, you start to feel better almost straight away. congratulate yourself on a good fold. i cant see him firing out with anything your beating or drawing with or T9. (this is my first post, be nice)

Looks like everything got there by the river. I would c/c a small bet or c/f to a big bet.

I like the 2barrel. You're oop and you have a good hand. I think checking just loses value. It won't always be such a bad river card.
