Is there anyone out there, who started off playing at micro stakes at either PokerStars or FTP and then built a Bankroll over $5000.00 gradually moving up the limits, exactly like they ALL websites and books say. Beat the limit you are at and then move up to the next limit. ANYONE at all. I think there are more people like me who would love to hear a success story like that.
The only condition is that you should have done this at either Poker Stars or FTP.

There's a ton of low-stakes grinders online who routinely grind out that much, cash out, then grind again from 25NL. Depending on how much work you put in, a $5k roll from $100 isn't that hard to do. You just have to be patient and stay disciplined with managing your roll and your play. Wish I could player more than I do... if I played as much as I wanted to I'd playing higher stakes than the yawnfest that is 50NL. But I'm lucky to play more than a few thousand hands per month nowadays. So my advice is to work the bare minimum, have no kids, no wife, no mortgage, and you'll get there in no time.

About three years ago I started making some pretty decent money at poker after coming up through the micros in the 7-8 months before that. A few months later my girlfriend (now fiancee) ran into some pretty bad health problems and her job gave her the boot because of it and dropped her health insurance. If it wasn't for poker, then I wouldn't have been able to take care of as much of the financial situation as I did.

Just re-lock this shit. Yes ofc people have, that's why they're recommending it. Most people who do multiple big deposits end up loosing (duh) and those who do a single or maybe 2, 3 minimum deposits end up being the big winners.

Not everyone is such a flaming faggot about it as m2m is, but there are a bunch who have done exactly that on this forum... at least 6 people who have posted in this thread have gone from micros past 5k

Of all the people who try it only a small fraction has the discipline, work ethic - and as much as I hate to flatter some of these idiots: the intelligence to pull that off. And even among those only the the smallest fraction has made more money at the point of reaching 5k than they would have by working a minimum wage job for the same amount of hours. Only when you go way past 5k is when the time invested actually pays off, so you better enjoy youself on the way.
