AKs vs unknown odd stack from BU

Villain is running 50/20/60 agg over only 10. No other stats yet (fold to 3b ect). Only hand I saw him show down, he completed frm the sb with J5o hit top pair anc c/called flop and turn and donked rived trips for like 1/3 pot.

Im not sure what kind of range villain is donking the flop with besides like QQ (cause he wants me to shove with my overpair or thinks ill spazz or w/e) or like stuff that whiffed..not sure if hed donk with a hand he considers valuey like KQ AQ , I cant really assign an accurate range since I haven't seen him play 3b pots pre or post.

He has about 25 left behind after he donks.

Calling is out of the question.

Villains hand range is probably any pair + .

He could be the type of player who prays for no ace or king on the flops then leads to find out if you truly had AK. I know you have little reads on villain that would tell you how he might react to a raise but it should be obvious that there is a chunk of villains range he would fold here.

How is your table image thus far vs villain? This would impact your decision.

I know I cant call; I was tempted to shove just cause it seems like a line hed be b/f'ing with alot but meh I didnt think hed fold any Q and I didnt want to get owned by a set.


I had been opening pretty loose cause the table was just filling up, but not getting too crazy post.

Yeah youre prob right. I need to know a little more about him to be able to put him on an accurate range/know he can fold before I get out of line in this spot. Shoving was just really tempting.

Your average equity on dry Q high boards with AK is pretty terrible vs a typical range that calls a 3B. Unless he donk/folds a lot in 3B pots just let him have it. Raising him on like Q-10h-4 or Q-Jh-4 at least will give you a free card to a gutter the majority of the time and let you DB heart turns but I don't really expect him to fold all that often when he donks.
