    What negative edge can we assign for the blinds eating up our stack in situations like these.

    Common wisdom is that if you are sitting UTG with a stack between 3 and 5 BB, you should shove ATC. The reasoning behind this is that you will lose your FE if you don't shove.

    Try work out your equity before and after the blinds. Use an ICM calculator and see how much equity you will lose if you eat the blinds and report back. Roughly speaking that's how much -EV you have to work with. I say roughly because it's perfectly possible you may get dealt a decent hand in the bb and end up playing it.
