    2 folds, UTG+2 raises to t80, 1 fold, MP2 calls t80, 2 folds, Hero raises to t1480 all in,

I was just wondering if I'm losing here some value by not raising it to 320 pre and play some postflop when called (mostly c-betting on any board).. instead of my "squeeze" shove in early stage??

It depends on your opponents, but generally you should be raising to 300 or so PF and taking it from there. Some stubborn and suspicious opponents consider the shove abnormal and will stack off light with hands like AK, TT+ in these spots, but I think that's generally too loose for most opponents. I'd stick to to a normal raise.

I agree with Naka, you're definitely losing value by shoving. 300-350 to go preflop and take it from there (and trying to get it AI on any non-A flop).

When you say you wanted to "squeeze", the reason to squeeze is to encourage MP2 to fold thereby contributing his dead chips to a HU pot. In this case your hand has so much preflop equity that you actually want both of them to call.

If you are raising make it 450 so you can shove flop vs 1 opp, 300 leaves a pretty weird stack size that will force you to overbet shove or small lead on flop. Flatting seems better with no reads to me - mostly because of stack sizes which look good to check shove the flop.

tai I would say squeeze just means to 3 bet after a raise and a call and that you should mostly expect folds from the play.

I think UTG +2 flatting and MP2 folding is an uncommon result and shouldn't be the main reason you make the play. What hands would you shove over due to the 'dead chips' that you wouldn't shove anyway?

Can you detail a spot where you'd want the guy with the bad hand to fold and the guy with the better hand to call? the best idea I came up with was if MP has Ax and UTG a worse pair, but even then Ax only has 25%. He won't get to realize all of that and the pot is 50% larger.

I usually thought of being squeezed in the context of being raised after having flatted a raise, but I never really thought about whether we actually wanted folds or (some) calls from the move. The sort of move that a weak player would make with a weak hand with which they hope to see a flop without giving thought to what subsequent players might do.

Interesting point, let me think about it. Maybe the point is that the squeeze play is one which you might use when you have a hand that has some equity if called (eg. T9s) but where shoving will fold out many better hands?
