    Default TPTK facing donk lead

Villain is a random who calls too much PF and is generally too passive PF. Do you call, raise or shove in this spot?

I think it's an easy raise/get it in.

Yeah, I shoved and he folded. Given that this is a Sunday I wonder if that line is a little strong?

This line is like 5x,4x, Ax with wheel draw, 66-99 always so maybe a smaller raise will seem more FOS or he'll put you on a FD and shove over.

Meh, probably thinking on too high of a level for this guy. I figured shoving would look weaker and more like the draw. I always feel like 3x'ing here looks way too strong, but the truth is that I think many Sunday players won't see it like that at all.

I think if we make it like $400 it'll just look like we're trying to bully him because we're annoyed at his donk lead. He shoves over with Qx and FDs and might peel one with like 88. I think the key thing is to allow him to make a mistake with his entire range, where shoving makes it pretty easy for him.

Personally, I like a small raise because I'm a big fan of giving my villains every opportunity to make a mistake.

The problem with shoving is that you now deny villain that opportunity. You give him an easy decision.

If he has complete air, how can call?
If he has 66-JJ, its that much easier for him to chicken out and assume you have a Queen.
If he has Q9, it gives him a chance to chicken out because he doesn't like his kicker.
If he has a flush draw and half a brain, he should not want to go all-in on a hope and a prayer.

But, if you raise him back to 325...,
this gives him the opportunity to "outplay" you by shoving back,
or call you with 66-JJ because maybe you are "making a move"
or call with Q9 because it is after all top pair and "maybe" you don't have a queen and are just drawing for the flush ***fingers crossed***
or call (with incorrect odds) for his flush draw

Now, come turn, pot is over 1000 chips and both Hero and Villain have about 1000 chips left.
Now the pot is big and villain is feeling somewhat committed to it and thus much more likely to call anything you do.

Anyways, shoving vs an aggro villain that will snap call with "anything" is standard, but against weaker villains, i'm a big fan of giving them every opportunity to make a mistake and not giving them easy decisions. When you shove all-in on the flop when villain has less than 20% of his chips in the pot, it makes it too easy for him to slip the hook imo.

So, I like a min-ish raise here, to $325 ish

Do you mind discussing the benefits of calling vs a small raise to say 350-400?

I don't expect passive players (not sure if it's passive pre or post but usually they go together) to randomly decide to lead a draw OOP here. If he has anything else he has 5 outs maybe but usually only 2-3 and there is no sense telling him he's drawing so thin when we can easily get stacks in if we decide to.

Even if he has a draw he's already paid to hit it and it isn't like you're going to give him a free river.
