How about only 1 winner per month, and that if a blog wins, it shouldn't be eligible to win again for another 4-6 months. Also, potential winners should be judged by contributions for that month in particular, not on the entire blog itself (otherwise a single blog shouldn't be able to win twice at all). Thoughts?
Thanks for the thoughts.

I don't necessarily think that small consolation prizes take away the lustre of winning. It's more a token of appreciation for having an active blog on FTR. I agree with the point that we don't have all THAT many active blogs on the forum right now, though. Perhaps next month just one consolation prize to 2nd place?

I agree that we should try to look at the contributions for a particular month. So if someone doesn't post at all in March, they probably shouldn't be eligible for a March nomination.

I also agree that we don't want the same blog winning month after month. I don't know how many months we should wait before a winning blog can be nominated again, though. I kind of like 3 months. I'll think about this in the next couple of weeks, though. If anyone else has an opinion about this, feel free to post!
