    Default AK analysis

I know PFR was ok, I'm concerned about the rest of the hand. How should I analysis street by street decisions?
Is this a spot for a Cbet even if villian is short?
Since I check, should I still call? Why or why not?
His stats are 44/19 over 16 hands

I'd c-bet AI myself. That should fold out some unpaired hands that have outs, maybe even something like 33-44 if you're lucky.
As played I think it's close. Maybe the fact that it's a Fifty50 tournament makes it a fold?

raise more pre, The value of AK is in seeing all 5 cards not 3. I either want to get this all in pre or see a flop cheaper and C/F.

    shove pre!

post it's weird but I kinda like c/c since he's so aggro, he's never folding to a jam if he's ahead but this way you might get him to bluff worse Ax/Kx.

    So Pre
    1)I should have pushed
2)call shortie AI then c/f missed flop
For each decision, what reason for either choose?

Personally I would have just shoved preflop.

Considering MP3's stack size, I would never fold on the flop if I had 3-bet as you did. There are more than 1700 chips in the pot and it is only another 650 to call so you're getting almost 3:1 on the call. There is a much better than 25% chance that you have the best hand on the flop.

To me it's just a question of whether you check and let him shove (which you call) or whether you just put him AI on the flop yourself. I understand drmcboy's logic and tend to agree that checking and calling the AI means that he bluffs hands that you beat that he would fold if you shoved the flop.

If it's a turbo Fifty50 (which it looks like) then you have little choice but to shove pre. We need to be as aggro as possible - those blinds will go up fast.

As played, I want marry the doctor's line.

Yea I shove pre most of the time too unless I know there is someone behind me likely to try and squeeze me off the HU with the shorty. I'm certainly not shoving the flop because what calls that we can beat. He ain't folding better than our hand so let him make a mistake if he has a chance to.

Thanks for all the advance.. since reading I have seen the benefit of showing more aggression pre flop with a premium hand and the value of the chips vs 1 opponent.
