Default Spot with pair + FD

Opponent doesn't seem great so far though it's a very small sample.

Flop bet is for thin value vs draws/protecting my hand, though checking back might be an interesting option? Turn seems like a bad card to barrel though I suck at finding good spots to double barrel. Thoughts?

why is the the turn card a bad card to barrel? You pick up some outs to the 6 which might be good, you can potentially get him to fold an 8 or a better 5 like A5, you vb against other fd's and you build a pot for when you spike the river.

All good points. I was thinking that some of his hands picked up 2 pair/turned a straight/have enough of a reason to continue, also 7c isn't really a scare card but I guess since we have equity we don't need him to fold that much (can target the weaker portion of his range.).
