when banned it's obvious right

just wondering, when a poster has been banned, is this always stated next to their user name? maybe it should be?

i know that when i was banned it appeared that i hadn't been, and i think this is inappropriate

Right now i am trying to see if JustinSKS has been banned cos i'm curious after the bc thread (in the last 12hrs, now deleted/nowhere to be seen) where he opened with a reasonable post, bikes insulted him with respect to activity outside of FTR (facebook wtf?!), and then the thread turned into a shitstorm when JustinSKS responded to the provocation with stupidity

I don't really want to comment on disciplinary measures taken against other members but Justin expressed extremely offensive and bigoted views as well as messaging a member of staff to insult him and thus isn't welcome at this site anymore.

User titles stating members are banned would just create more discussion as to who is banned/why and information is often contained in threads which have been deleted as they aren't suitable or wanted in the community which we wouldn't want to share for obvious reasons.

I hope I've answered your questions and I'll lock this thread.

daven, I will concur with pascal, the post wasn't all that reasonable considering some other things in the past. The use of some of his language is not going to be accepted. And no, you can still say fuck, shit, and most others\ terms we know and love
