utg villain earlier called mp raise from co with a6s and won a big pot. had limped once before but didnt see his cards. co had previously limped twice but folded on flop

is shoving ok here, in terms of dead money in pot? about 7% of my stack. or raise to ~150?

also i think i should get a hud. pt4 ok? i dont multi tab but figure it will only help my game. feel a bit guilty at times asking u guys for advice and saying 'he was involved in a lot of pots'. i do usually take extensive notes tho.

    cheers

    150 > shove imo

Definitely raising, 150 is slightly big - I'd go 121.

You're risking 1580 to win 105. Do you really need to ask this? Shoving is fine if we have notes on one of these guys that he l/c lots of Ax to a huge shove. Otherwise, shoving is dumb imo, because most people are only calling hands that crush us. Don't expect to see AJ as often as AK.

Yes get a HUD, it can only help. pt4 is superb.

start by deciding if limping along or shoving is better. then, think about why you raise any hand ever. This is an important thing to do at some point, because we all learn you should raise before you know why (at least the correct answer(s)).

based solely on the content of this post, I would not recommend a HUD. Spend money on ToP or vids or something.

make it 120-130 and get value vs all his hands rather than lose basically all value from your hand because of what you did.

Also whoever said limp behind is fuckin nuts

for sure you want to raise 120-140, hoping to get max value out of his limping range (ie. AXs)

Maybe look into picking up a book like Collin Moshmann's SNG Strategy (if you haven't read it already).
