    Default 7s in the SB

    Lock Poker - $400 GTD Deepstack Turbo -- $3 + $0.3 -- 30/150/300 Blinds - 9 players

Villain has shown weakness to aggression. He tended to fold to 3-bets and to not C-bet on flops that he opens/3-bets.

    BTN - 6,417
    SB - Hero - 6,733
    BB - 3,911
    UTG - 7,427
    UTG+1 - 1,650
    MP1 - 4,111
    MP2 - 2,967
    HJ - 7,475
    CO - 9,481

    Pot is 720

    Dealt to Hero - 7, 7

five folds, CO raises to 600, one fold, Hero raises to 1,800, one fold, CO calls 1,200

    Pot is 4,170

    *** FLOP *** Q, K, 3

    Hero checks, Villain checks

    Pot is 4,170

    *** TURN *** A

Hero checks, Villain bets 300, Hero calls

    Pot is 4,770

    *** RIVER *** J

Hero checks, Villain bets 2,385, Hero folds

Should I have perhaps check/raised OTT, even with three overs? Called the river w/four overs and four to a straight? Folded pre?

I would either just shove pre or 3bet larger and shove all flops. You need to have a plan on flops with overs with so much of your stack invested.

Shove pre as you are nearly always hating life if he flats.

I'd also 3bet premium hands smaller, to 1.4k (AK, QQ+)

Why not shove your entire raising range here including premiums? Less transparent imo.

Because shoving makes him fold too much of his raising range.

For someone to actually pick up on your ranges they have to:

    1. Be paying attention to you
    2. See you 3bet small with a premium and have it go to showdown
    3. See you 3bet shove with a mediocre hand and get called

I'm guessing there is a big pool of players in $3 tournys so the chances of anyone noticing this are slim. Plus, even if someone knew this about you, it would be hard to benefit from it very often

Honestly as soon as he called the pre-flop, my stomach would have dropped. And I think your bet size was too large... I say you just make the simple calls pre-flop with a middle pair, save chips... your odds of hitting a 7 are really low.... save chips and hope to trap him imo
