888 tourney confusion

I've just played in an 888 restricted tourney for players with tickets won by winning an 888pl event here in australia. Now the the event ID#44412985 had these EXACT words written at the top of the tourny lobby:

APL 888PL Pub Poker Golden Ticket Online Opener
Hold Em No Limit. Buy-in: Free
Qualification is open to any player who has been awarded an Online Opener Entry Ticket at their nightly event. Total prizepool = $6000! 5 x ME III Seats, each valued at $1200 up for grabs!

So anyways.... 222 entrants, me being one of them, battle it down to the final table and eventually down to the final 5! WOOOHOOO free ticket to the main event!!! or is it? the tourney, to everyone's dismay, carried on... and the chat fired up and came to life, most people saying congrats on winning, but some asking... why are we still playing??? Cut a long story short, i came 2nd and got no notification of winning any ticket or anything?! Surely they wouldn't give one player 5 tickets would they? Anyone have any insiders here in aus for 888 that could find out for us? I've emailed a few 888 email addresses with no reply as yet.

Be sickening not to get anything!!!

You know the Main Event is a live tournament held in Melbourne?

Seeing as it's a live event I wouldn't worry about not getting a ticket online, just send 888 an email and wait for a reply about how you'll be registered etc

yeah it's also my 30th birthday week, would be an awesome week. easy get time off work and will only cost a grand for the trip. as long as i get a ticket that is??? still no word from 888

yeah mate i spoke to the guys at 888pl down in melbourne,we got the tickets wazza!!! the results are up on the 888pl site now.



well done mate, i've been busy playing every night in the 888pl here in gladstone because you need to of played 10 games to claim the main event ticket.
