    Introduction

The second month of our new Bovada tournament, our thank you to all our active American members Canadians can play too through Bodog.

Last month had just 12 players - that was $40 added per player. Whatever stakes you play, you can't afford to miss this tournament!

    Details

    Name: FTR Monthly Special
    Date: 12th December 2012
    Time: 20:05 ET
    Buyin: $3.30
    Prizes: $300 cash and 5 x $38.50 tickets added!

I try to tell people about this site in the chat on Bovada, but who knows if anyone comes here and does anything.

I'm trying, though. It probably doesn't help that I'm a cash game player, myself, so I'm not talking about it to the SNG players.

Oh yeah. Prepare for MadMojoMonkey pwnage again.

As long as I do not register an hour late, I will be there. Tonight, I registered 18 minutes into late registration, else I would have missed a money added game.

    I just have one question...

Isnt Bovada= Bodog??? I got a message a while ago saying that they were closing their business

i hope you can clear that up for us

Thank you very much and best regards
  7. #7
you are correct, and you are not. Bovada is the site for American players and Bodog is for rest of world players(ROW), I think Canadians are allowed on Bovada, can't remember for sure.
I entered a video in a Bovada contest and they said it could not be entered in their contest as it mentions a competitor of theirs in the video, I had mentioned Bodog.

I played on Bodog for years, and they transferred me over to Bovada about a year ago. Just like I played on Cake for years, and I got switched to Juicy Stakes about 3 months ago..

I finally used my $35 + $3.50 ticket for a satellite to the $100k guaranteed.

I bubbled in 3rd of 9. I had 5k in chips, both the other guys had 11k in chips and they were just abusing the crap out of my blinds (like they should, gg). I finally took a stand with 22 at about 8 M, and got called by JJ. I flopped a set, and he rivered a straight.

    *sigh*

We never said that? Americans can definitely play Bovada tournaments!

Looks like a great game! Unfortunately I couldn't play yesterdays game at Carbon due to these new requirements.. sigh. I really hope you will reconsider this for players that frequented the FTR events often. I love playing these games and promise I will be a more active participant in the forums.

P.S. I just received the email reminder for this event. As a U.S. player I only play at a few sites. So I disregard alot of the FTR reminder emails I get because I can't participate in the events, as much as I'd LOVE to! It just sucks to get this email (the night before the game) and have it say "Notes

We need attendance to increase this month, otherwise in January we'll give out the password via social media and the field will get much, much bigger. Same thing with the Carbon game, there is no way I'd be able to become "qualified" prior to the games. Since I get the email the day before the game, I haven't enough time. I guess being a "lurker" is going to cost a few of us the opportunity to play. I was very much looking forward to playing last month, but there was no game. I checked the forum multiple times as well as the Carbon lobby. At that time I didn't see anything about the new requirements..... I see the game in the lobby of Carbon this month and was excited to play, only to find out I'm not qualified.. Just kinda sucks.

I am Canadian - and I play from Bodog.
I can see the game in the lobby, so I hope that I will be able to register once the PW is revealed.
Thanks for the game - and thanks to Weissr who nagged me to bring my post count-up to be able to play.
Hope that there will be a good number of players participating.

    Best of luck to everyone!

Thanks again for the game - really enjoyed it and finished in the 4th place.

Was close to be much better - but I am happy

My final tally was a 3rd place finish. On more than several ocassions the river could have done me in, but the poker gods looked favorably upon me during this, my monthly quest. Thought for sure MadMojoMonkey would flush my 2 pair. Great game Mojo.

congrats - Happy you made it to third!
Nice to play with you again

I really wish Bodog was not anonymous
  54. #54
I do not like the anonymous numbers on Bovada, so that is why some of us post here in the thread(i.e. thread 48) earlier what player we were. I had a little bit of that James Bond feeling in me tonight, as I was player 007.

Good to play you again so soon vegasjj, and let's keep meeting up ITM's.

Did the $300 money added go to the top 3 like last time... or did the top 6 finishers get a portion, due to more players?
  56. #56
Extra money is spread between top 30% I believe

I won the tourny and I think it was $105 extra. So I am assuming it went to the top 6, since top 3 would have been +$150 for first

Default $35+3.5 ticket WINNERS... what to play

Having trouble using my $35+3 ticket. Top 5 winners of this tournament and last month's won a ticket.

I'm looking to play the $35+3 6 player SNG satelitte for 100K seat. 2nd place wins some cash.

I will be playing 8:30 EST Monday night. Haven't seen this SNG fill up yet. Anyone else in?

I also won a ticket, did not know that there is a sng - it is good for. I am planning to play in one of the MTT's at some point. Tickets are valid until sometime in March. The next MTT I see in the lobby is at 3:40 pm est tomorrow.

Yeah... The only MTT I ever see is for this ticket 3:40pm EST. Can't make that time. I will be sitting in the SNG tonight at 8:30pm... hope it fills.

Wish there were more players from FTR so you would not need to put it out on social media - but awesome games anyway!
