Default [5NL] AKo...3bet pot w/ TPTK on mono flop

    CO is 56/5/7 (3bet) over 251 hands. L/c a raise 81%, 42/52. FT3B 38%, FTCB 67%.

Few notes on CO: He obviously l/c w/ all kinds of hands, J5o, AJo, 86s, A8o, K3o etc etc. He had l/r once and that was with KTs.

He had called 3bets OOP w/ Q2s & A7o. For what seemed like a fish, he seemed to be able to mix his post-flop game up really well.

    BU - 37/30/8 over 282 hands. FT3B 64%, FTCB 92%.

Villain was raising all sorts of hands to iso the fish on his right. Had seen him raise w/ as little as 74s. He had also called some 3bets, IP, w/ Q3s & AJo.

Well let's start by betting $1.35ish.

Thoughts on betting a bit harder? Say $1.75. His range should be pretty polarized towards hands he'll fold with anyway to a bet and hands he'll call with anyway.

I was thinking about going $1.75ish (posted and deleted), but it left me feeling awkward about sizing on future streets with possible runouts.

I guess I just feel like a ton of my value range is KK, KQc, KJc, AAc, AcK, AcX, Axcc, QQc, and all of these hands I don't mind betting on the smaller side.

I would only bet bigger if I was worried about betting smaller and inducing a bluff raise, when my intention was to b/f.

    I don't think I'm b/f to a raise here anyhow.

I like it too as a sort of representative bet of your range and to not let him fold the marginal part of his range (including on later streets). But at 5NL I expect their calling range to be XXcx, Kx (discounted), 8x (maybe). And he'll call off a bigger bet on the flop with all of that range, while folding everything else. So why not bet more.

Also I'm not b/f here unless I am facing a nit.

    Why no 1/10 ESS?

    Yeah why not $0.97?

I'm not really expecting to have 3 streets of value with this hand this deep, or to be able to get it all-in profitably this deep.

I think a lot of the calling range is probably Kx with a club, or pairs with a club (so most call down range we beat is probably calling two streets). So I'd imagine on most run outs (no clubs) I'll probably bet twice and check rivers on this board and expect to get to showdown.

If I had a flush, set or Acx I might go three streets though and bet $1 / $2.25 / shove.

I would bet 2/3 pot flop and turn, kinduva standard maybe I have something maybe I don't size, folding if raised, and if no clubs come, c/c'ing the river if the bet is a reasonable size. If a club comes, shut down.
