Default Fish bets 4-straight river, board's paired, fold the idiot end?

No history at all with villain, but action in hand strongly suggests a fish.

Can't really see cbetting this flop - hits a limpcall range really hard, but then the turn looks like pretty thick value. He can have so much 2-pair, sets etc. here that'll call turn and probably river.

When he donks the river though, you've got to think his range for checking the flop is so wide, he can have basically anything here.

I don't mind folding, I don't mind calling. I'm probably not calling a bigger bet, especially since I don't like the board pairing on the river since he can have so much 78/89/66/77/99.

Fish can also be stabby though, in the wierdest spots, like he can easily stab with a busted flush here.

He can also be value betting AA/KK/QQ.

    Any thoughts?

He's highly unlikely to have AA/KK seeing as he l/c. I suppose it's possible but if fish limp these hands it's usually to l/r.

I'm gonna call this bet because it's not a huge bet, doesn't feel all that nutty to me. If he has a boat, why isn't he trying to get maximum value vs the tens in our range? He doesn't have a boat. He either has a busted flush, ten or 8, and I'm leaning 8 or missed flush because he c/c's the turn. I'm calling river.

I think it's pretty marginal and folding or calling is fine esp with the small pot.

Yeah, I agree but I also think Ong has it right that his sizing really turns his hand face up - a tougher opponent (who we wouldn't get in this spot with anyway) might bluff bigger here, but when a fish stabs he tends to do it quite small, and when he feels like he's owning us he tends to try to extract a big bet. The lack of a turn (min)raise is also heartening, so I am inclined towards calling, but don't absolutely hate folding either.

I agree with the post saying this spot is pretty marginal either way. Though I do think that misses one key point.

The important consideration here is not necessarily that it's a marginal spot (which it is). But it's a marginal spot that really doesn't come up very often, which is much more critical.

There are tons of marginal spots that come up VERY often, and as a result are way more important to consider.

This spot is both marginal and rare, so it's prob not worth focusing your efforts on spots like this.
