2 to 1 odds?

    Default 2 to 1 odds?

    You often hear people say the pot laid them 2 to1 so they had to call. You hear them say this in regards to any two cards preflop as well, even if it means joining a multi-way pot with rags so what's the significance?

    I think the only situation you should hear someone say this preflop is if it's all-in situation preflop and you're getting 2:1 on a call.

    A lot of hands vs a range that might be going all-in, has close to 33% equity, so ppl just say you need about 2:1 to call.

    Somewhat worse, so you need between 2:1 and 3:1 here:

    Yes I did see them on TV but dunno about being bad as some famous names said it. Anything from WSOP to the Big Game. (cash and tourney).
