It's fine logic but since when do people at 25nl fold two pair and sets regularly? I think generally speaking, when it doubt you should bet or raise more, not less, especially on later streets. Remember that in order for a value bet of half the size to be as profitable, it must be called twice as much. There are a ton of situations where betting 10 gets called like 75% of the time and betting 20 gets called 45%.
10*0.75=7.50, 20*.45= 9.50.
It's easy to fall prey to the allure of small value bets since they seem to get called so much, just try to resist.
That said, once you get a lot better you'll revisit this and find loads of spots where it's appropriate to bet 25% pot on the river for value with a nutted hand. That just comes later.
