This is actually a line I stole from Monstr, who stole it from someone else.

Derping means to make a mistake about game mechanics, and being derp cleared means something that is much more likely for a villager to say than a wolf, because wolves will talk about distinct game features amongst themselves.

I expect Keith, of all people, will know and understand the mechanics and understand the implications.

    An example of derp clearing:

    Player XXXX died last night

Player YYYY: "Why isn't player XXXX posting?"

A wolf would know that they killed player XXXX, and therefore is unlikely to ask such a question. It also makes you look stupid.

Jyms derp cleared himself with exactly this a while back when he was at mislynch -1, his wagon collapsed (JKDS and I were wolfies that game)

Rilla used this intentionally even more recently, probably his proudest wolf moment

I still kind of think the MMM lynch looks scapegoatey and am starting to suspiciouseyes the people pressuring for it.

I can see the logic behind this argument and how it would look "scapegoatey." The problem is there are enough indicators to go forward with the lynch. I'm not really concerned about whether MMM flips V or W or Cursed given his posts. At times he will be Village, other times he will be Wolf-alignment but the percentage has to be stronger than random.

If he's not going to be lynched Day #1, he's highly unlikely to be eaten until late game and only if Cursed Villager is still in the match. We'll be going through this scenario again on Day #2, and so on until he's lynched because there is enough concrete evidence in his posts to wagon him every day. It will become a distraction.

The way I see it MMM flipping Wolf clears no one. MMM flipping Village adds guilt to no one. His own contributions are too wolfy.

I'm glad to see Ong's Post #302. I was going to point out that he was worn out last game and could be going through the motions this game since he wasn't really wanting to play again until December. I don't think his comments at the end of Post #302 are role-indicative but I do think they are genuine.

Let the Wolves jump on MMM wagon if they haven't already in my opinion. Day #1 ends and regardless of how MMM flips the major distraction is out of the way. If not, we (or at least I) will be revisiting this each day until he's gone from the match.
