With the KQ hand, I considered the chances of making a large percentage of the limpers fold practically non-existent, with the blinds still low, unless I bet way more than was worth it. Also, I had just showed a big bluff with nothing. I didn't expect to get any respect with my preflop raise the next hand.
So my options were fold or call. You'd really fold KQ on the button with cheap blinds and tons of limpers (i.e. big pot for cheap)? Its a hand that has the possibility to hit big. Even with all the limpers, I can reasonably assume that there's no AK or AQ out there. Plus I'd have position on them after the flop.
Folding KQ on the button there would be way too tight in my opinion.
I know I messed up with the AT hand. But I think my mistake was more being too aggressive at the flop, more than not raising preflop. By the turn, I thought I was beat (especially since he would've hit his flush there if he called on a fush draw - which I thought he was on, since he just called yet again), but I was pot commited by then.
