Default 2 Short questions on moves I made today

    1) Early game, even stacks we start with 1k, I was CO I believe, called BB with AK, followed by button raising 275
, another one calls, I raised ai.

turns out button had JJ, other guy had QQ and flop is no help and Im out

my thought is, you see plenty of people go allin with AJ/AQ even A10 at times, and its coinflip against QQ/JJ and doubling up early does increase my chance to make it to the money, whats your thought?

    2) 3 people out from 4 peple going allin, the winner is sitted at my left

I am dealt AA, 1 person limps, I call the bb, the chip leader
(with 2/5 of chips on table) checks his BB
flop all rags, I bet 100, he calls other guy folds, turn is another rag
I bet small for a weak bet trap, he raises me ai so I called and it turns out he flopped a set with his 6's. I called because of possibiltiy of him having an overpair that is less than mine, or him just bullying me for my weak bet. did I make the right move?

    thanks in advanced guys

    1) I think that for this first hand you should have simply called the $275 bet. I think that with AK facing a large bet like that you really want to see the flop so you can see where you really are in the hand. If an A or a K hits you can probably trap them and only lose to a nasty set, but at least you will have the option of folding. And if they only had AQ, AJ or A10 you will still outkick or get them to fold with an all in if you hit, but you don't risk the 50% odds of your hand not hitting. If you wait to see if you pair up you aren't totally fucked if you miss because you can still bet to see where you are in the hand and fold if they take some initiative. I really do not like pushing all in with AK so early in the tourney, especially with two people who obviously have playable hands preflop to throw $275 at. AK is simply not that big of a monster pre-flop.

    2) This one is hard to give advice on without knowing what level the blinds were at and what sort of draws were on the board. Was it the bigstack BB the one who stayed in the hand? I am assuming so. $100 could have been a very large or a not very large bet, I am not sure. Also, I am not a fan of limping with AA unless you have good enough reads on everybody at the table to know when to lay it down. With the flop coming rags and the BB having limped in and then calling your sizable bet you should usually be VERY wary, fearing a set or a two pair. This is why you need to have a read on the guy to know if he is willing to play a top pair all the way to the river if the flop is rags or if you should give him credit for an actual monster.

Hope this helped, and I hope my thoughts aren't off-base.

1.) You shouldn't risk your whole stack on a coin flip preflop especially with two callers in front of you who already called. Since you started with 1K, and button raised 275, you could assume he has something good since he just put in more than 20% of his chip stack into the pot preflop. And since the other person called you could assume they both have something and are commited. Why go all in because somebody raised 275? I don't know whether if you won or not but I can tell you that you made a poor play by going all in, simply because it's early in the game and there was nothing in the pot significant enough to risk all your chips.

2.) You made a mistake by limping in with AA, the more people there are the more likely your AA will lose. You should've raised but even then, he might have still called with pocket 6's and the outcome would've been the same. This is something you couldn't have prevented.
