    Default SoCal Saturday Tourney

I'm going to Pechanga Saturday to play the NL Tourney. I would LOVE to meet some FTR guys there, so anybody and everybody who wants to come should come. Here are the specs: $12 +3 buyin. Starting time 10:00am. (Be there 15-25 mins early, it sells out fast.) There are about 20-30 regulars, none of whom are terribly good at poker, and tons of dead money (in the sense that they just stopped playing slots and have never played holdem before). First place pays 700, 2nd pays 350, 3rd plays 175 and I there's usually a deal made at the final table. (It can be very profitable). Blinds starts out 25/50, starting chips are $2500, and max # players is 200-250 (seat assignment is random). Overall, the tourney is very, very soft. (www.pechanga.com for more info/directions)

If anybody wants to meet me there, just post back here before I leave Saturday morning. If you want to find me there, it is simple: you will know me by my "manomanness".

And so this thread doesn't get booted from the tourney section, isnt Farha a genious at reading people? WOW. He dodged like trips and a straight with TPTK twice. And he nearly picked off a bluffer with 66. The point being, I can sorta do what he does, but my personality doesn't quite click. I think you need to be smooth and clever to be an "every hand" player. I, on the other hand, screw with peoples' emotions, and I glare at them, and I'm very quiet at the table, just cutting looks into peoples' souls. I look angry. I have trouble getting a feel for how people react to me (are they bluffing me cause they think I'm bluffing? Are they just on a hot streak?) In the end, 80% of the pots I win come with no showdown. When I lose a hand, I fake tilt in hopes of getting called by an inferior hand.

Ok, i'm serious about this. I"m sick of having conversations with geriatric know-it-all morons who call too many bets and think poker is all about luck, yet skill. Come all you SoCal players, get on the horn and let's get together and feel alright.
