Default $5 and $10 SnGs, need opinions on the skill level

I've been playing lots of $5 and $10 SnGs lately, mostly $5 SnGs. I need you guys' opinions on the skill level difference at these tables. I know many of you think $5 and $10 are essentially the same game, but i don't think there was any thread about this, so it'll be very helpful for me to gather some of your opinions on these tables.
I play Stars and PP SnGs. Been on a good roll lately, finished ITM like 43 or 45 out of the last 50 or so $5 SnGs i played. I wanna move up the rank, but my $10 SnG experience is limited. So give me all you've got boyz.

not much difference in skill level, the $10's are tigher and less wild.
i hate what i have become to escape what i hated being...

    wow...86%+ ITM finishes. VERY impressive.

i've been playing $20+2s at PP and am more like 40%..

the skill is about the same, and at pp you should play the $10 table, the 'rake' is a lower percentage then at the $5 (20% vs 10%)

I'm playing $5 SnG K, and you are playing $20 SnG. Come on, the players at $20 SnG HAVE to be better AT least by a small margin. Not worth comparing your stat and mine, i'm playing at tables where 2 to 3 players are gone by level 2 or 3.

If the players at $10 SnG are tighter, my ITM percentage will most likely dip a bit. Sure i could adjust, but there won't be many freebies like the $5 SnG. They bust out with medium stacks when in the bubble, trying to steal blind from the big stack and stuff. They help you out a lot lol.

Question bellkev, do you do better at $5 or $10? I mean is there at least a small difference in your ITM percentage? Sorry i'm talking like a wimp, but i can't help my curiosity.

quality of player at 5+1 level doesn't diminish your amazing ITM record. it is awesome...you're making a minimum avg (that assumes all ITM finishes are 3rd places) of $2.6/SNG = 43% ROI. i'd take that any day.

If we're talking about Party here, you need to consider that the rake is twice as high for the $5 SnG, so even though the play is worse you might be better off playing at the $10 or $20 level.

I play mostly $20 now. No skill difference b/w $5 through $20 that I can tell. Some really bad and really good players mixed in.

    On Paradise:
$5 is marginally lower skilled players vs $10, $20, $30 SnGs
$10-$30 are the same to me.

Although its more stressful when you are on a losing streak at $33 bucks a pop

The only value I saw at $5 SnG is you can build your winning strategy cheaply since the play is comparable to $10-$30. (Also less stressful). Just dont fall into the trap of betting liberally b/c the stakes arent high. Treat the $5 SnGs like your playing $100 SnGs.
