mrs fishstick rocks!

so, last friday, i took the day off and mrs fishstick and i are running some errands. one of the stops is Frys, for a USB 2.0 card and wireless mouse.

well, the monitor on our desktop (flat panel 15") is wearing out and starts with the squiggly lines after about 45 minutes, so we've been sort of looking at 17" and 19" flat panel monitors. at Frys, we decide to wander over to the monitors, and what does mrs fishstick see? a 24" flat panel samsung that is so crisp and clear, and it's huge! now, between the two of us, mrs fishstick is the electronics fanatic (i get enough of "technology" at work), and she immediately finds a computer with internet access and starts researching the monitor. all checks out and mrs fishstick starts to persuade me as to why we should get it. and all i can think is (ala homer simpson) "hmmmm, 24 monitor, hmmm so many tables open at the same time..." she even asks if it would be good for poker!

so we got it! it is so cool. 4 tables can be opened at a time with no overlapping, and i could easily do another two with 2/3's showing.

hmmm, monitor...

Those monitors sure are sweet, I've had my eye on one for a while but they are £1,000 for a good one over here $1,770 (see our £ are worth more than your $ but we can't buy as much with it ).

I'm currently debating whether to get engaged to my GF, and the ring she want's is around $2,300!!! That's a lot of bread to me so I can't justify both purchases at the moment....

Guess she will have to wait until next year
