Could I have seen this coming?

I had this guy pegged as weak-loose (but not so loose that he would play any hand with a 5 in it other than maybe A5s or 56s utg to a raise), so when he led into me betting the pot on the flop, maybe I should have gotten nervous, but I don't see how I could put him on a pocket pair that beats mine when he limps and then calls preflop. I was almost positive he had a 9 or TT. Oh well, playing on Sat. night on Empire I'm going to play that hand pretty much the same way every time...
