Live MTT tonight!

Hey guys,

I've been totally psyched for this tourney all week. There will be 35 to 40 players and a $50 buyin. Easily the biggest game I could be involved in considering where I live.

There are going to be some pretty tough experienced players there but the last one I attended I managed to squeak into the money in fourth.

I've been reading Soupie and Ripptyde's tourney strategies and I spent a part of the day reading at Full Contact Poker (Daniel Negreanu's site)

I'm going in with a clear head and a good little streak of Sit'n'Go performances. Three 1st, one 2nd, and three 3rds in the last six I've played.

I'm determined to give it my all tonight. Intense focus, control of my emotions, and no mistakes.

I feel like I'm playing my best poker right now and I just wanted to say thanks for all the great advice here a FTR.

I'll try and post some of the details tomorrow.

Well guys I just finished typing out a 2 page diary of the tourney but some how I adjusted the position of my keyboard only to look up and see everything I've written GONE!!

I was up till 4AM and don't feel like typing it out again. FAWK

Anyway I managed to get 5th place and win $50.

All in all it was a strange tourney for me. I played very tight early and luckily made the final table as a real short stack.

The final table was pretty much all-in every hand so there wasn't much room for creative play. I got lucky a couple times and was looking real good.

Picked up 33's in the small blind with only 5 people left. Everyone folded to me and I wanted the blinds and antes. So I push all in and quadruple the BB's bet. Wasn't expecting a call at all. The BB calls and flips over KJo. A coin flip which I lost. SHYT!

I was down to about a chip and a chair argggghhh! Oh well. I stuck around for the next hand which put me all in just with my ante. I look down and had picked up QQ!

Man if I only would've waited one more hand or even won that coin flip with the 33's I would've had a great chance to win the whole thing.
