How much was all-in? How much was the side pot? It may be advantageous to do both.

As well as what Humphrind asks I think I would need to know what the stack sizes were.

if a short stack has gone all in and someone else and myself have both called to see the flop. I will check it down if i dont hit anything and hope that the other guy realizes that we can knock someone out if neither of us have hit. If I hit, i'll play my hand as i would normally and bet it. If other guy bets i'll play the hand normally, but if i fold and they've got turds i'm not a happy camper and file it away for later |

Darkby. Any hand with an ace is better than any non pair non other ace hand. So if he thought the other guy had kqs he still had him beat.

A lot of times I like to check through the river unless I make a powerhouse. Even with the powerhouse, I won't bet, unless my opp decides to play at me. Then I play right back and make them sorry. I like eliminating players, especially if it's down to 4 in a STT. Knocking the other guy out puts both of you in the money, so betting a marginal hand is stupid in that situation, for both of you.

Bluffing into a dry pot is simply idiotic, there is no way you can win a sidepot of 0 bluffing, and if you get called your almost surely beat. but sometimes people think if they can push someone out, that their odds are that much better of winning. It's usually done by neophytes that haven't realized that eliminating a player is better for both of you. |
