    Default Dealing with Tight Passives

I seem to have trouble with tight passive players.
Example; I have something OK preflop, maybe I limp as blind or small raise that that's called. Postflip, I hit like middle pair, or it's all rags and I have an A. TP checks, I toss a bet out and get check raised.

That's just good play, maybe that's my problem.

The one that always gets me are smooth callers with monsters or at least a really good hand. Might be because I don't bet enough on a semi-bluff or OK hand. I am conservative with my chips until in the top 3.

Any strategies for dealing with TPs?

    How about this ass-kicking:
We just dropped from 4 down to 3 - in the $$ so I can't complain - but I was taken to task by this guy:

    Table Table 12362 (Real Money)
    Seat 6 is the button
Total number of players : 3
    Seat 6: RriiicoSuave ( $3518 )
    Seat 9: bones28 ( $2372 )
    Seat 4: zenbitz ( $2110 )
    Trny:6519547 Level:6
    Blinds(150/300)
There is no Small Blind in this hand as the Big Blind of the previous hand left the table.
    ** Dealing down cards **
Dealt to zenbitz [ Ac Jh ]
    zenbitz raises [600].
    RriiicoSuave folds.
    bones28 calls [300].
    ** Dealing Flop ** [ 4d, Qh, Qc ]
    bones28 checks.
    zenbitz bets [300].
    bones28 calls [300].
    ** Dealing Turn ** [ 6d ]
    bones28 checks.
    zenbitz bets [525].
    bones28 calls [525].
    ** Dealing River ** [ Qs ]
    bones28 bets [700].
    zenbitz is all-In.
bones28 shows [ Qd, Kc ] four of a kind, queens.
zenbitz shows [ Ac, Jh ] three of a kind, queens.
zenbitz finished in third place and won $10.
bones28 wins 15 chips from side pot #1 with four of a kind, queens.
bones28 wins 4220 chips from the main pot with four of a kind, queens.
    zenbitz has left the table.
    Game #1063296367 starts.

You just have to be ultra careful. Watch the progress of the game carefully and just try to pick out those who love to slowplay and smooth call.

Then when you are involved in a hand with these people just be very careful. For example, if you do flop middle pair with your KQ like you said, don't toss out a bet if they check to you, just check behind them and let them make a decision.

It's just a simple matter of not splashing around too many chips when you smell a rat in a hand.
