end of tourny heads up strategy

Ran into this guy at the end of a 10/1 SNG. We are HU and I playing for a while and then he starts folding almost all his hands when I am in the BB. And if I raise or call from SB...boom he is AI.

So, I figure the best way to go against this is just call his reraise with an AI in the SB with a good hand.

So, I do that and walk into AA with TT and catch a ten.

Anyway, I haven't seen anyone use that strategy HU before.

That's an interesting strategy that i've never been up against before. When I play heads up I personally like to see flops, actually play poker and resist raising with good hands.

If he's going AI in the BB when you limp/raise everytime then I'd limp with a good hand in SB or fold. If you're not willing to go AI and you know he's going to raise you, then why give him those extra chips that you raised with?

Eventually, you're going to get a good hand (like the TT) limp and then call his all in. You were unfortunate to run into aces in that situation but lucky to hit a set.
