    Default MTT hopes dashed

For some reason I was feeling good about this MTT. This was supposed to be my time to get better then 7th (my previous best). Sure it was still relatively early but I hate when this happens.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t100 (10 handed)

    CO (t1045)
    Button (t790)
    SB (t2275)
    BB (t2110)
    UTG (t1360)
    UTG+1 (t2500)
    Hero (t1565)
    MP1 (t705)
    MP2 (t595)
    MP3 (t1150)

    Preflop: Hero is UTG+2 with A, 3.
UTG calls t100, UTG+1 calls t100, Hero calls t100, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, MP3 folds, CO folds, Button folds, SB completes, BB checks.

    Flop: (t500) 4, 3, 6 (5 players)
SB checks, BB bets t200, UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, Hero calls t200, SB calls t200.

    Turn: (t1100) T (3 players)
SB bets t1975 (All-In), BB folds, Hero calls t1265 (All-In).

    River: (t4340) 4 (2 players, 2 all-in)

    Final Pot: t4340

    Results:
SB has 4s Td (full house, fours full of tens).
Hero has Ah 3h (flush, ace high).
    Outcome: SB wins t4340.

Limping with blinds this high in bad position preflop is a leak. What are you gonna do if somebody raises preflop? What are you gonna do if you hit top pair? The chances of you getting a flush draw/two pair/trips/FH/flush are <9%. You're already calling away around 8% of your stack. Stacks are too small relative to blinds in my opinion to limp here.
What's the difference between a large cheese pizza and a poker player?

A large cheese pizza can feed a family of four.

I agree with iconoclastic, I'd either raise preflop or fold. I'm not a big fan of playing A-x suited unless it's early in a tourney and I can see a cheap flop.

That's just me, though, and your style is different. You played the rest of the hand well and just got unlucky.

If I can limp w/ Axs I'll do it everytime (only in a tourney, not ring). If there is a raise behind me, I'll fold. If I hit top pair and someone bets into me I'll fold and I won't even bet if it gets to me I'll check. I'm not worried about losing the t100 because I can easily get that back w/ a blind steal. Also depending on what happens I may be able to just outplay the other players and take down the pot no matter what is on the board. I just happened that I flopped a four flush and just a call on the flop was my best option.
