It was at pacific Poker. Around bubble time I build my stack from middle (about 18th) to top 5 just by stealing blinds. From there I caught a few cards. I remember when it was down to 9 and I was chip leader (roughly 55000) chips, a lil more than double the next closest. I caught 2 4 offsuit in the small blind. I decided to put pressure on the blinds (that were at 1k and 2k) I raised to 4k and he re-rose me to 8k and I called, bad move out of positon. Flop comes T 4 7 rainbow, I check and he throws out a minimum bet. I choose just to call, whats the point of playing 2 4 if you're going to fold when you hit a pair? The turn is a 2, and he pushes all in for 18k more. I call. The river is a 2 giving me a full boat, and since pacific poker sucks it mucked his hand I didn't get to see what it was.

Congratulations Heavy P, I just signed up for Pacific this weekend and played my first Tourney there ($20+2) I found the competition to be softer than Stars and on Par with Poker Room (admittedly 1 tourney is not a big sample) There were just over 300 people in my tourney, and I squeaked into the money then busted out on a bonehead call I made. Anyway ....how much do you play there and what do you think of the competition compared to other sites you play?

Pacific's interface and slow moving bothers me, also everyone stalls. Other then that it's cool, there are NO antes in the later rounds so people just sit around and get blinded out which makes aggressive players very happy. The play is definitley softer then stars, as well as at the 2/4 tables.
