I think you have to fire again on the turn, too. I would likely not have bet the flop after limping, but if you're going to do it and it gets checked to you on the turn, give it another shot. I think his flop call means ace with a weak kicker, and he wants to know where he is in the hand.

I think there is absoultely no need for you to taking a stab at the pot when

    1) people have healthy stacks, blinds are low so noone is fearing getting knocked out
    2) your bet is so small
    3) you have no good draw to semi bluff with
    4) 3 LIMPERS

betting turn is simply read dependent. If you think your pot sized semibluff will win you the pot more than 35%, go ahead.

betting 1/2 turn won't really do much in my opinion, as you will give both straightdraw/flushdraw enough odds to call

    Agree with AllinLife.

Save the naked bluffs for later. The stakes aren't high yet and at this point you're more likely to run into someone that either slow played an Ace or will call you down with a random pocket pair.

I stabbed after the flop naturally. But on the turn I had a new problem. My read told me MP2 had A with a bad kicker, or possibly 9.

On the turn I looked at 2 choices.
    1. I could take another stab at the pot and possibly take it down.
    2. I could take the free card, induce a bluff if I hit, and get out fairly cheap if I don't hit.

The problem with the 1st choice was I would need to bet something bigger than 1/2 the pot to get him out, however if he didn't fold, that's a lot of my stack. So I decided to play it safe. Take the free card. I missed. I got out.

I feel like I played this hand right. However, I had some doubt if I should have bet the turn, so I wanted to offer this up.

People let me tell you about my best friends...
As big stack, he could have been on a diamond draw, trying to break you. Or could have had a 9, as you said, or mini-pockets.

I might not put him on an Ace-mid or higher, 'cause he probably would have bet out strongly if he had an A and a medium/high kick to kill a flush draw. Since you didn't raise pre on the button, he would assume you don't have AQ, AK, etc.

Also, as a big stack, I might have bet out on the river, too--with second pair--since you checked on the turn. Your turn check told him you didn't have an A, and maybe had a flush draw.

Either way, betting strong enough on the turn to take away his flush draw would have been risky. And if he calls a smaller bet and a Qd or Jd hit, you still don't know where you are. Albeit position would have helped, you might be stuck with that tough call on the river.

I would have played it the same.
