Down 2 stacks today. heres some of the hh's

    http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...=413672#413672

i really need to sit down and start new goals. i am sort of floating through poker right now.

    So, here they are:
    1. Play 1-2 sessions per day. each less than 1 hr.
    2. Dont play tired, or with distractions. (turn off tivo!!!!)
    3. Post daily results with at least biweekly graphs.
    4. Post 10k hands PT results.
    5. Stay on top of personal / professional life.
    6. Reconquer 100NL by Thanksgiving. (>5bb/100)
    7. Think more about what opponents hold.
    8. Stop tilting.
    9. Bankroll goal: 5k by 12/31.

OK. now i think i know a big part of the problem. i have been playing with the tivo on. i am not paying 100% attention to my tables. Also i need to sit forward in my chair when i play. Sometimes i lean back, and i play a bit more passively and make bad calldowns (weird eh?). But my dog likes to lie on the back of my neck with the puppy on my lap, both sleeping.

Do you think you just have to adjust to the FT rockfest also? Are you still transitioning from your Ongame play?

yup. still transitioning (that doesnt seem like its spelled right) from ongame. that place was a goldmine for me. these FT players are rocking me. the only time i get stacks are when i hit gutshots.

i think for FT you just have to get a comfy BR, splash a bunch of pots to build a bad image, and get paid off.

On the plus side, you can slowly and somewhat variance-free inch your stack upwards in rockfest places by raising and stealing constantly.

thats what i was doing vs the weak-tighties at ongame. not happening so much at fulltilt, they are much more aggro at FT

So here's my most recent 10k checkup:

    http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...=414309#414309

pretty ugly. find the holes. lost another 3 stacks today. Played 25/10. Im going to change my goals to 18/8. Im playing way too loose and its costing me bigtime.

Set up pokeracehud for the first time at fulltilt. It works rather well, just have to change the table setup now! Its pretty cool to see mucked hands right away.

thanks for the reassurance, i thought i was going crazy. playin much better tonight during Full-Tilt prime-time. Got my roll back to 750$

Im playing more in a good rhythm now. Checking people's stats methodically before each bet. Also im going to really tighten up in EP. Goal stats are 11/9 UTG. (sometimes i try for a limp-reraise donk style. Also im going to cut down on cold calling, and unsuited gappers/connectors from CO+.

Checking my stats today i was 18/10. Just about perfect. I wouldnt mind tightening up even a bit more. The thing is with playing so loose is that when i finally get a big pair its so much better than the other hand's im playing i cant let it go as easily. Also i stay away from hitting my flush v higher flush and hitting a flush v full house as well.

played decent today. 2k hands, down 2 stacks.

my KK rand into AA 3 times in the last 17 times i've had it. also got a couple of bad beats with QQ. Those 2 were my biggest losers today. If one or 2 go a different way im a big winner for the day. Another place im losing money are my river calls. A couple of laggs had my # tonight on the river.

So i found a neat trick about full tilt, if i observe hands they get into my pokertracker. I dont know if i can run it overnight, but while i play my 8 tables i have another 6 collecting stats. I'll let them run over night and see how long before it boots me due to being idle.

+4 buyins today. won set over set, cracked a couple of aces, got an OESD as well. I have datamined a bit. I think I might just switch to datamining right before a session, that way my database doesnt get too unwieldy. of course im still at 50NL and hope to move up ASAP to 100NL. (still quite some time before that happens.

You'll get there. Most of us have gone through these months upon months of going nowhere and then BANG! make 1K in a couple of nights playing NL100 (or more at higher stakes)

i'll share my experience on these rockfest tables though... remember the empire bonuses after party split the skins!?

the first time i had 20x BR and played TP fast-playing good hands and got smashed. 2nd time I played with a 150x BR (they didn't have bigger games) I played judicially loose, frequently raising and killed the game for 10 buy ins over 1000 hands. Consider moving to poker stars or bodog. It takes a totally different mindset to win these games compared to poker room skins and the psychological pressure of a limited working bankroll doesn't help

here's a nice little tool i like using before isit down at a table , it datamines plus when a table gets to empty it closes it and opens another one automatically ,

,,it's in beta testing , so i think you can use it for free for now until they start to charge for it ....

-.5 buyins today. set under set. flopped a bunch of straights but never got paid off. the one straight i tried to slowplay ended up gettin 4 to straight, and splitting the antes. i did crack someone's TPTK with 67 2 pair. Got check/raised off a bunch of c-bets. I also played a tad bit too loose at 22/9 today.

was +4 buyins to start, played a solid 1k hands.. then i extended my session too long and donked away 6 buyins.

    rules i broke today:
    1. played too long of a session
    2. went wayy too far with 2 pair on flop
    3. tilted after #2
    4. paid off everyone's river-minraise or river c/r (lost them all).

I'd like to get to 2k soon so i can move up to 100NL. Like i have said many times, i think thats where the "sweet spot" of online poker is. The 50NLers are a bit tougher.

well i was up ~3 buyins today after 1k hands. so thats good. stacked off Q44 flop with AQ against a 23/4 who loves his A4s.

then i ventured into the shorthanded discussion forums and saw the greatness that is 6max. seeing lukie, fnord,& gabe go at it makes me jealous and want to join in on the fun.

so i played a bit at 6max tonight, 20 hands or so up 1.5 stacks.

    hoo-ray!

Im back up to 100NL! i love the poker so much better at this level. there is a much better mix of players, and a lot of shortstacks that love to gamble. Plus I was running pretty hot tonight and made 400$ in 1k hands. I did get KK 12 times today, so thats a bit rediculous.

I am going through a "honeymoon period" with 100NL, the players dont have any stats on me, and I am sticking to my game plan at 20/10 because the values are doubled and i dont piss away my profits like i was at 50NL.

Im still playing full-ring at full tilt. Bankroll is 2200$. And i only have 60$ more of bonus to play for. After this i think im going to go to americas cardroom for some hot ongame action vs euros. Those pot limit tables are so juicy. For some reason they still allow americans, but their bonus is a horrendous 12 or 15x.

Where are you guys playing now?? Whats the best deal for mix of players+bonus+rakeback+game availability at 100NL?

Haha that's funny; I played almost 1k hands last night and got KK 11 times. Needless to say it was my biggest winner of the night

+3 buyins tonight 1.2k hands. man 100NL is so much better than 50NL!

i cleared the entire 600$ bonus and withdrew all funds tonight into neteller..

    bankroll $2549.

i might put some cash back into full tilt, to play nighttime peak hours, and play ongame during daytime vs euros.

apparently america's card room and a new one, poker shootout allow US players.. their bonuses are pretty crappy (12x-15x).

started clearing the first of 3 100$ 12x bonuses at america's card room.. .

+1 buyin, but i feel like i should be up much more. got all in KK vs AA and sucked out, got TPTK and KK as an overpair beaten by TTT in back to back hands by half stacks. other than that been playing solid.

first month back at poker since cashing out roll +$2050. Not quite as much as my previous months, but its getting back to a good rate.

    -4 buyins today.

lost set over set, 2 suckouts for 150bb each, full house over full house, str8 under str8. had AA cracked as well. hit some mad variance, and overplayed some hands. oh yeah and to top it off i thought i had a nut str8 and went all in but turns out i had midpair + gutshot. so could have been much worse, i'll post hands tomorrow, lots of big pots.

about even today, hard to tell because the sites im playing on dont work too well with pokertracker..

i was playing great on WPEX, until my last 2 hands.. i turned off autopost blinds, and i get AJo and ATo utg in my 6max games.. with ATo i flopped 4 to nut str8, and didnt hit... lost 100$..

with AJo someone minreraised me from bb.. i called ( i really wanted to fold).. A comes on the flop, and i call PSBs on flop/turn.. guy had AKo

i knew better than to call the reraise. the 4 to flush i was priced in and didnt hit. so there's 200$ right there, otherwise i would have had a great day!.. 6max is fun, and i played well overall tonight.

    welp, ive lost focus.

im playing on ultimate bet and wpex 6max. im at break even for the last 2 days. 6max is like crack. im playing without my HUD as well. I do not have much of an edge over the good players, and im not going to make $$ doing this.

i dont have any stats because these sites arent very PT compatible.

i have about 1400$ stuck at america's card room which has been down for the past 3 days. shady shady stuff going on. check out this thread at 2p2 about it:

    http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...=1#Post8069157

    their official line is:

We are doing everything we can to get the issues resolved and allow players to play poker on our site.

We expect tomorrow morning to make some updates to our system which will allow us to provide service once again. Following that how long it will take until you can visit the site will depend on how quickly your DNS updates our web site details.

We do apologize for any inconvinience.
so im not sure what to do next..

i was really hitting my stride at 100NL at full tilt, but i ran out of bonus to play for, and 27% rakeback isnt all that impressive in my book.

better than playing vs. players you don't think you have an edge over...
why the fascination with 6-max lately? weren't you doing just fine at fr?

    OK,

refocusing. no more 6max. switching back to full-tilt full time with rakeback, no bonus. withdrew all my $$ from america's card room for the moment, their web-site was up, but their client was down. i could play via html but decided to try and cash out. we'll see how that goes.

i have my HUD set up just how i like at full tilt, and i can datamine there rather easily. also the peak hours work a lot better with me, trying to schedule via europeans forces me to play when im tired (right after work rather than 9-10pm+)

going to read the newbie circle of death again.

    bankroll - $2350

full ring is pretty dry these days

down a few more stacks today..

    1. AA cracked by 67o on reraised pot, 677 flop.
    2. KK cracked by QQ
    3. 3 mid flushes under higher flushes
    4. flopped trips under flopped full house..
    5. then a bunch draws that didnt hit.

#4 and 5 were mostly in blind battles, i need to tighten up more overall and that will cut down on variance. also i will not be married to hands as much if i tighten up more.

i still have good gut instincts, i have just gone against them. ie not 3betting preflop when i should have, betting turn when i knew i had the best hand, but not betting and seeing the scare card come on river watch them bet and i call. also too much preflop cold calling.

overall im playing a B- game with a few minutes of tilt in there. playing 6max takes my full ring a while to adjust. also my full roll is not at full tilt right now, im trying to transfer it from america's card room.

bottom line-tighten up, and i cant wait to get my whole roll on to full tilt.

re-read all the posts here on my blog. i sure was running hot back a few months ago @ pokerroom network.. those were the days.. my confidence is down a bit, but funny thing is im confident i will get back on track.
