you are doing something massively wrong.
    how is it happening?
are you 4-tabling rush in cascade?
    maybe try tiling?
like, i used to misclick too often, still do - but i guess i'll cope with an accidental openlimp or preflop call ip once every 2k hands.

i'm sure most people already know you can do this, but i didn't until yesterday. and if it helps someone out there who was as backward as me. then that's good.

I recently set my stars bet slider so that preflop in unopened pots, i have three auto buttons above the slider (3bb raise, 5bb raise, 7bb raise)
i also have the wheel on my mouse set to increase the slider in SB increments. so i can do my 2.4x opens on the BU and 2.8x opens in CO.

thus i do not need to touch the keyboard at all (like i used to do when i opened for $0.6 on the BU or $0.7 in the CO at 25nl) or use any scripts. i only have the auto-size buttons for raise sizes which are odd-number amounts of BB's (3,5,7) because any even number of BB's can be achieved by the wheel.

i also added postflop auto-size buttons of 1/2 pot, 3/4 pot, and full pot, which go above my bet slider. these don't excite me as much as being able to do all my preflop actions with my mouse and without having to pay for auto-key software or whatever. but they might be handy for some.

anyway, hope that helps someone in some way at some time.

edit: oh yeah, to do this, go to options --> bet slider options.

i'm far too retarded to know how to go about doing the maths behind it, but i've been told that you are getting better effective rakeback at stars than FT if you achieve goldstar most months. although i found FTP FR games softer than stars.

I was thinking about Table Ninja plus using this mouse for preprogrammed bet sizes. I have no idea if this is viable or smart though. I have issues with two fingers in my right hand already...

After the jj preflop open fold I stopped stacking tables and laid them out a bit but I want to keep the buttons relatively close together to keep up the pace. Maybe I should just tile like I would reg tables. I dunno, its frustrating but I'm pleased I didn't tilt. The poker gods realised my misfortune and instantly gave me AA on two tables and 55 on another, then they realised they'd over compensated and promptly fucked me set over set with the 5s and quad 6s > my aces full.

who of you BC regs would be keen to do weekly/monthly video reviews of each other's play in the BC? it seems like a great idea for improving on minor things we're missing out on/doing completely wrongly which would probably not make it into posted HH threads, like flatting preflop raises in position with AK against someone who probably flats a 3b w/AJ+, or whatever. or planning to Check/call in river spots where our opponent probably calls with a bet with a wider range than they bet themselves (and we have >50% equity against the range they call with). i am aware of this month's video competition. i mean a more ongoing thing. maybe we could add some of the more fruitful video discussions to the digest? i don't know. i can't claim credit for this idea, btw. i read it in someone's blog and i think it might have proposed by kmind (?). thoughts?

I'll be making a thread on this in the next few days just been really busy and yeah I proposed it and feel awful for not having created the thread earlier.

I'm also not aware of the video contest thing which makes me think I'm either dumb or it isn't being advertised enough.

Grr.... Just lost $400 straight... I can't seem to catch a break at all. Most of it was today, but look at this...

Top Losers in last two days... almost 7,000 hands. QQ isn't on here, becuase it's a winner. QQ lost $63 today though.

LOL Variance? I have been playing more tables, but I don't feel I'm playing "that" poorly... Time for a new strategy???

And here is the cheese to go with the whine....
  36. #111
spenda good article, i really liked the last paragraph, especially the part about the suited aces...some people open 65s utg before ATs/A5s which i think is retarded , sure you are going to be "dominated" some of time but thats almost negligible in comparison to the other ways that these hands are +EV. Not only does they help for balance and shania or w/e but also with an ace you are often going to have extra equity on a lot of boards (you have 3 extra outs vs KQ on a Q44 board than 78s), not to mention any gutshots/flush draws you pick up that allow you to stay aggressive throughout a hand (and every flush we hit will be the nut flush). And sometimes we flop 2 pair and own an AK/AQ, yet we are never stacking off with just top pair (well not never but ya)

That being said, as many have said before, people 10nl and below shouldn't go overboard trying to apply this to their game. Not because balance doesnt matter at the micros (even though it really doesnt compared to higher stakes) but because they suck at playing out of position and should try and minimize the amount of time spent doing so imo.
