    Default [5NL] KK...crazy/agg image...being played back at?

    Villain is unknown.

This was around my 7th hand at table and I was getting hit with the deck pretty hard. My past 4 consecutive hands were JJ, AQs, AKs, KQo and now KK. I was raising/3betting/cbetting a lot and probably come across as a bit of a maniac.

    PokerStars - $0.05 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 5 players
    Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

    BB: $5.84
    UTG: $4.44
    CO: $1.13
    BTN: $5.07
    Hero (SB): $5.27

Hero posts SB $0.02, BB posts BB $0.05

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.07) Hero has K K

UTG calls $0.05, fold, fold, Hero raises to $0.20, fold, UTG calls $0.15

    Flop: ($0.45, 2 players) 8 7 7
Hero bets $0.30, UTG calls $0.30

    Turn: ($1.05, 2 players) 6
Hero bets $0.75, UTG raises to $1.50, Hero raises to $2.75, UTG raises to $3.94 and is all-in, Hero calls $1.19

I felt villain could easily be playing back at me but has he waited for a hand to do it? He l/c so he could easily have hands like A7 or 66/88 maybe even T9o. Obviously once I 3bet villain and he 4bet shoves I am committed but I'm just not very happy about it.

On the other hand there are also plenty of hands that I beat and villain could be playing back with a draw or just not crediting me with a hand and not willing to lay down something like AK/AQ...

    Thoughts?

Can you explain your raise size on the turn, why aren't you just shoving? (not saying I agree or disagree with shoving atm)

edit - I call turn and then x/c river. Raising just gives him a chance to fold out his bluffs (or worse value hands) and checking the river allows villain to keep bluffing, and we don't really miss out on any value from not betting as he folds a lot of the hands we beat. As I don't see him playing many hands like QQ, JJ in this way. Maybe TT because any draw is the nuts at 5nl for some people.

I was trying to make it look weak because I was raising/3betting/cbetting so much. Once he raised me on turn I had already decided I was committed to putting the rest of my stack in but I didn't want to shove in case villain was just playing back with air and he could then fold, I wanted him to be the one to go all-in just in case he thought he had some chance of pushing me out of the pot ( I know there isn't much left behind in my stack but most 5NL players don't notice these things imo, obv I am never folding for $1.19 more).

Pretty happy to fold the turn when he min raises. This line is a hand that beats KK like 80-90% of the time at this level IMO without reads that villain is spazzy. Your aggro active image might induce less folds but it shouldn't ever induce this from any kind of range you do well against

    This isn't a take-away line.

He waited for you to bet his hand for him on the flop + turn and now he wants to try to play a really big pot.

I don't see why he would do this as a bluff in this spot, even with the short history you speak about.

yah i fold feeling relatively confident villain has a rather strong range and wants to build a pot, rather than wants to attack a weak range for the cheapest bluffing price possible. i doubt many 5nl randoms understand the whole bet/bet+pot thing and what it means for bluffing/betsizing etc.
