Default Loose call flops the nuts - how to proceed

SB is 38/15 with 8% 3bet. Postflop seems aggressive so far, but early days (50 hands).

Preflop is probably not great, but his sizing is so spazzy I'm getting 3.5:1, I'll have position, and he looks liable to make big mistakes postflop, so I think it's probably justifiable.

On the flop, he seems to like his hand - raise and secure the cooler, or slowplay and hope another club doesn't come?

    BTN: $26.10 (104.4 bb)
    SB: $26.57 (106.3 bb)
    BB: $37.69 (150.8 bb)
    UTG: $25.74 (103 bb)
    Hero (MP): $25.32 (101.3 bb)
    CO: $30.90 (123.6 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP with 9 A
UTG folds, Hero raises to $0.50, 2 folds, SB raises to $1, BB folds, Hero calls $0.50

    Flop: ($2.25) 8 K 2 (2 players)
    SB bets $2.25

I don't mind the call pre with 3:1, we have a suited ace in position vs someone whose range is strong. I think we get paid off often enough to burn 2bb where both are full stacks.

I don't think raising a pot size bet on this flop is going to look anything other than ridiculously strong. I see no reason to do anything other than call and hope he keeps putting more money in.

My decision is turn when he inevitably checks it over. Do I bet or do I let him stab the river?

have to bet turn as we want to play for all of the chips.

preflop is fine.. you are calling like 2% of your stack in position with a decent enough hand. Ax and 9x boards can be tricky. you need to be able to play reasonably well on those. that's poker.

on the flop, call sometimes, raise smallish sometimes (turn bet river shove), raise biggish sometimes (turn shove)

then figure out some semblance of balance with these decisions to make yourself hard to play against in future hands

I call flop 100% as I don't balance postflop vs fish but I like lukie's plan v regs.

Ideally yes, but how realistic is that when we know he's dead unless he has KK? We get value from QcQ AK AA KK, but how much heat can his QQ AK and AA take when he knows they're dead to the nuts?

I probably do bet the turn but I keep it small. If he bets again I drool call and shove whatever happens on river.

Hey, it's hard to stack anyone when u have the board crushed but dude he's a fish with an 8% 3b. surely you can be more creative with a range than that.

That's the top of his range, all we can reasonably expect any value from. Obviously he's wider, but how much more money does he put in with the middle of his range? None. The Kc on the flop doesn't help, it takes a lot of flushes out of his range. He might have QJcc etc but I'm not trying to get value from a handful of club combos at the expense of all his QQ+ AK.

If we think this guy stacks AK happily, then fair enough. But even fish can make hero folds on boards like this. AA and AK have no club so I don't expect him to be so happy to stack them here. Maybe he spews AA because he doesn't want to see another club, but again we're targetting the smaller part of his range and allowing him to let go of stuff that he might call for less.

I expect him to bet brick turn big if he has AA KK because he hasn't got a club and will want to charge us for drawing. A flopped flush bets turn too. Anything he checks on the turn we will struggle to get all in. So yeah I'm half potting turn if he checks, because I don't expect stacks to get in and am happy with any more value I can extract.

would raise here smallish or biggish here an overwhelmingly large amount of the time.
