Default Squeeze flops draw, turn bricks

Maybe shouldn't have squeezed at all here, but UTG seemed loose and positionally unaware (small sample), and BTN and blinds were nits, the HJ was an unknown.

    Button ($25.37)
    SB ($95.88)
    BB ($2.84)
    UTG ($91.95)
    MP ($27.77)
    Hero (CO) ($70.28)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 9, K
UTG bets $0.75, MP calls $0.75, Hero raises to $2.25, 3 folds, UTG calls $1.50, MP calls $1.50

    Flop: ($7.10) 10, 10, 6 (3 players)
UTG bets $3, 1 fold, Hero raises to $11.50, UTG calls $8.50

    Turn: ($30.10) 5 (2 players)
    UTG checks

    Hero???

Hey nice to see you're still here too Weld, how's poker treating you? I've been away for a while, just played a few thousand hands here and there when I felt the urge - I had a sick downswing (part variance, part mistakes) and decided to preserve my bankroll and take a break to de-tilt, I planned a kind of couple of month break but then got caught up in work stuff and stayed away for ages. I'm planning on playing again pretty regularly now, but maybe just pushing myself a bit less hard - I don't want to burn out again, and I want to get better, so even if it takes a bit longer to do that by playing only a few hours here and there, I figure that's preferable to trying to play more than I feel like playing and burning out or tilting as a result.

I can def relate to pushing yourself to hard, and burn the match out in your brain..lol . Similar thing happened to me last Feb. I was at the point where not a part of poker felt fun to me. So, I took a long break until about 2 months ago. I'm still not as active at the tables as I'd like to be , but a huge reason for that is my roll is on Lock, and their a bunch of crooks not paying any of us Yanks. I'm planning on loading some dough on black chip very soon though. I played around 5000 on lock last month @ 10nl.

I've been studying, and remaining active here getting ready for it.

Good to see your back though Boris. you gots a good poker head. Are you playing full tilt? man, you lucky bastards

So it seems we've had a pretty similar break. I hope we'll keep in touch on the forums and keep each other motivated. Perhaps you could PM me your skype if you use it, and I'll PM mine back - it'd be great to have someone to sweat with.

I can definitely relate to what you said about poker not seeming fun anymore after pushing too hard to improve quickly - I think it's counterproductive to push too hard, it takes time to improve, and you have to be enjoying it otherwise what's the point?

Not playing on full tilt, although I do have an account - I play on stars. I feel for you man - it sucks how US online poker has been gimped. So when you say you played on lock, can you play there but not cash out at present?

YEah, i can still currently play on lock, and am, but they seem to be totally dicking guys when it comes to cashing out. I know some people that have been waiting months in fact for their monies. I actually haven't spoke to a friend lately, but I know he's been waiting quite some time now. So maybe it's getting better, and now that we're discussing it I guess I'll give a look around to see.

Anyway, The player pool on lock is pitiful also. there are usually only around 3-4 tables of 10nl going... ahh it sucks, but I've heard the traffic on Black chip is better. So I'll be moving there soon.

Count me in 100% for sweats Boris. I'll pm ya my SN. always good to have friends in poker. It makes it more fun, and two minds kick ones ass....
