    I have learned the hard way that if they call your big raise, you better have a hand to show down if you are going to continue. Pick a better spot. At least at lower levels....

    Well, my read was correct, I just failed to realize he probably hit the A and puts me on a hand like KQ.

    I'm not sure if i agree with his call though.

    I don't think I could have called it. But then again, at lower levels, people like to pick someone off. He did have 14 outs if I am counting correctly (9 spades, 3 8s, and 2 other As) to improve.....

    would you really bet that much with a hand that beat A8? Even if you would he had outs. You're overthinking what he has (Level 2) and underthinking what he thinks you have (level 3).
