First Fianl Table..... Second Place Finish!!!!!!
Finally broke through !! .... Thanks to all here that post... I am sure it helped.
$10.00 NLHE PP last night 1870 entrants .....Finished 2nd .. $1,970.
I really did use alot of what I read on this forum.
1. Be patient ... no problem there, honestly got the worst cards in the
first 2 hours that I can ever remeber. Had to steal just to stay in game
Got lucky on 2 suckouts ( way short stacked ). Was worried about my
flops seen percentage, it was like 10% .
2. Set Step goals.... First ....ITM
Second... Win at least 100
Third.....Get to Final Table
Forth..... Win at least 1000 ( 4th )
Last ......Win the damn thing
Back to the Flops seen Percentage. I finished at aroung 18%. This is kinda low for me. Do you guys keep on eye on yours during a tourney?
Funny thing I noticed maybe you can comment on.
I remember hearing here that when playing a MTT you should concentrate on the table your at and just try to beat your table. This was what I did, it wa a tough one, was at this one table for at least 2 or more hours and we seemed to be just trading stacks with an occational bust out. I checked the chip avg. once in awhile and found myself always way low to the rest of the tourny but a big stack at my table.
At one point at around 8 or 9 tables left I looked at the chart and was surprised to see that my table was last in chip leader count, by at least half the counts of the other tables. Weird I thought and it stayed that way for quite awhile.
Our table finally got busted up but at the final table there were 6 of us from that table, that I thought was wierd also.
One more thing, this being my first final. The pace of play was really slow down the stretch say the last 25 or so. Then at the final table, BAM
the action was unreal ... really fast, I was worried about busting out in 10th but like 5 hands in we were already down to 8. Is that usual??
Well thanks again,
