    Default hand recently

Im on the button, around 2300 chips, blinds 150/300 Im not quite short stacked, but kinda close. Get QQ on the button, raise to 600 (raised 2x the bb) 1 caller. flop Kxx

He bets into me i fold...what should i have done.. this guy was a tight player, so i had to think he had a K, should i have raised more preflop?

How many limpers? 2+ limpers and I push. Don't raise 2BB, it looks like a blind steal from the button. What did he bet? 300? 900? If he min bets, you might want to reraise him here for half of your stack to show you mean buisness. If he bites over the top, you're in bad shape but not out of the tourny

    Default response

no limpers, i was on button and raised 2x bb. 4 people left in the game. Guy to my right folds, i double, SB folds BB calls. Then on flop of Kxx he bets 600.

Yes, a bigger bet preflop to fold out hands like QT. If you're going to raise, put them to a bigger decision than another BB and a bigger preflop bet gets weaker players more emotionally involved in a pot.
